Experiments conducted at all times of the day showed that the sound travels to the opposite shore of the lake. The drawings show the various positions of the Sound Cannon when in use.
Rotated towards the lake the sound catches a random large audience, whereas rotated towards the mountain it is directed towards the Stare"! installation and can catch an invited audience. In the upright and resting position it becomes a small intimate singing space for 1-3 individuals.
The Sound Cannon can easily be rotated by one person.
The Cannon has two ‘mouthpieces’. The option shown in the images above is the mouthpiece for one person. It is attached with a simple rope. By removing this piece the larger opening becomes mouthpiece for multiple singers or instruments.
